What is dangerous with a blog?
In an article in Svenska Dagbladet it is pointed out that now two ministers in Sweden, Carl Bildt and Maud Olofsson are blogging.
The interesting thing in the article in SvD is that it points out that another newspaper, Expressen, in an interview say the blog is dangerous.
Is that because the journalists can no longer filter and quote “out of context”? A blog is nothing more, nothing less, than having the minister talking at a normal open meeting.
An increased number of communication channels (in both directions of course) increase the transparency in a democracy.
Newspapers and journalists still do have their roles. As an individual I am happy to subscribe to the service of interpreting what people say, and what are the important things, but, I also want to know what people actually said.
