Domaine Roger Perrin, Cuvée ?, 2006
This is an interesting wine as it is from Roger Perrin, on the border between Orange and Châteauneuf-du-Pape, but is made from the classic Bordeaux mix Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Because this mix is not allowed in the apellation, it is not sold as a Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
This still has nice tannins, good smell. Long body, although not at all same wine as other from Châteauneuf-du-Pape which it should not be compared with. Rather compare with some classic Bordeaux mix wine, and you will see this is a good wine. Really good wine. Specifically given the price. (+)
