Most of the readers of this blog has already seen the discussion about the code needed to break the encryption on HD-DVD records. See for example this article in The New York Times or this story in Wired for the story. What is interesting is that Digg, where the whole story started, has changed their mind.

**UPDATE:**Wired have a new article that explain the current status. An article that also contain the code itself.

But now, after seeing hundreds of stories and reading thousands of comments, you’ve made it clear. You’d rather see Digg go down fighting than bow down to a bigger company. We hear you, and effective immediately we won’t delete stories or comments containing the code and will deal with whatever the consequences might be.

If we lose, then what the hell, at least we died trying.

If people want to take down all websites that have this code, they have to work hard. More people know how to crack a HD-DVD than own an HD-DVD player.
