Just rumor about strike might be enough
Just the rumor about the strike make people move from SAS to train and alternative airline companies for travel during the weekend.
Now lets hope there will be no strike.
But, this shows how easy customers of companies move, and change behavior. It is time everyone in a company work together on solving the problems that might arise. Internal disputes should be resolved internally. The most important goal must always be to make the customer happy. If not, customers leave the company, and noone wins. Neither the employer, nor the employee.
Yes, I do think the labor organisations of today have overused their legal rights in many cases the last couple of years. I think there definitely is a role for them in todays economics. But, what I see is lacking in many cases (from all parties in the disputes we have seen), is the overall goal to produce a product that gather new happy customers.
Examples of things I can not understand are as bad as they are include:
- The time it takes to get luggage at Copenhagen Airport (I am not surprised people take as much carry on as they can)
- The fact SJ is so bad at keeping their timetable
- That it is so extremely hard to get the medication you need from a combination of Vårdcentralen and Apoteket
