Can the new advisory group get anything done?

The editorial of Swedish IT paper Computer Sweden ask what the new advisory group to the minister Åsa Torstensson can do. Specifically as there is now 18 people in the group, and not 18 people with the same view. To be honest I ask myself the same thing. A good thing to have all of us in the same room to discuss things, but we need much more time than what is allocated (4 days a year). I am a bit nervous the minister will not be helped but instead more confused over our discussions because regardless of how good a minister is, a minister can not have the same background in the topic areas as the specialists.

That said, I definitely think the new group is a good thing. I look forward to our first meeting, and will make everything I can to make this group reach its goal – to help the minister.

BTW, I did not know it was 2000SEK/day we met. I thought it was the normal 375SEK… What a rise from the previous group! ;-)
