LaserDisc

The Swedish paper M3 is listing the 100 greatest gadgets and innovations ever. On space 24 they have the LaserDisc. The article say that the discs lived for a few years after DVD was released. What do they mean by “lived”? My LaserDiscs are just great, and as they say, holding a 12" disc is something different than a DVD…
