Tracking people...

You know, it is very very important the police get expensive (new) things so they can track people. Instead of the tools they already have. Like asking for the data people already have.

I checked the referrals to the article I just wrote about data retention and found the information below. Some use of Google, whois and 1 minute later I am pretty sure I know who actually did look at my post.

My point is not that the police should not have tools to use when looking for criminals. They need real tools, and real legislation. Something better that what already exists. If the problem with todays legislation is that people are required to delete data too soon, just change that timing issue. Do not go into details related to technology without knowing it will help.
