Copying DVDs

Yes I am copying a DVD at the moment. Or rather, I am at the moment copying the 3rd DVD in a row. A DVD that I own myself. That I have bought in a shop. Online of course, but the round pieces of plastic was shipped to me with post. The reason for copying is simple. I want to watch the movies on the device I decide. Which is the new Apple iPod Touch that I own. Only way of getting the content of the piece of plastic to the iPod is to first rip the DVD to the hard drive. Then to reformat the movie and change the codec used so it fits the phone. At the same time one can compress the movie so it does not take so much space.

Not fun that I have to do it. If I could buy the movie in a way so I can “just” get the movie in the formats I wish I would do so. But that product is missing from the market.

Would I send the digital copies to other people? Nope, so there is no reason for you to ask me for copies. You have to buy your own pieces of plastic and rip the DVDs yourself.
