Danish courts order ISPs to filter content
Not only my friend Kurtis is questioning that Danish courts order ISPs to filter content. You can find one report here. This is dangerous, specifically as what is really happening is that the way crime is prohibited is moving from police and courts to private sector and civil courts. The Danish court system is not that different from the Swedish one, so I ask myself what the people responsible for this decision in Denmark has been thinking of.
I have earlier written about this change here. On the other hand, we have had other decisions in Denmark that are weird. Most things related to IT in Denmark is though good. And they have made many many more effective(!) decisions regarding e-Services and the government than what the Swedish Government have made. Because of this, I hope Denmark is going to clean up their table and say explicitly whether they want changes in the society like the changes now happening due to the Data Retention and filtering decisions or not.
Updated: Also IDG is writing about it here.
