BA better than SAS?
Took BA from CPH to PHL via LHR. I do not fly BA or One World often, but still have my status at American Airlines due to the 1 million miles I did in until 2000. When boarding at CPH, they because of that (I guess) upgraded me to Business Class. Nice! SAS have done that maybe one time every 2nd year. SAS simply do not understand how to take care of frequent flyers. Just look at the latest proposal that frequent flyers can upgrade their tickets 24h in advance. But only if they have paid the higher fares. I.e. independent on what level of frequent flyer you are. This was something possible with AA already 1995…
SAS, please think of what you are doing. You are making people that fly often with you unhappy. You try to take care of people that pay an arm and a leg, and of course you should, but, people that fly with you a lot are important for you as well.
Example, I did fly BA because their ticket was around €500, while an SAS ticket was €2500. But on top of this BA gave a much better service. So, is it important to be Gold customer at SAS if it doesn’t give anything extra? If the answer is no, why should I try to be nice to SAS and fly them all the time?
