Now we are getting somewhere; B&W Music Club
Bowers & Wilkins just together with Real World has launched a music club they call Society of Sound. It is a subscription service where you get one album a month. At the moment, one can get a free trail subscription for three months. That imply three free albums!
And not any normal crappy format of the audio, but perfect encoding. I just downloaded the first album. Little Axe; Brought For a Dollar, Sold For A Dime. You can find information about this interesting recording for example on the MySpace area for Adrian Maxwell Sherwood that worked with the recording:
Just completed at Real World studios, a new Little Axe album"Bought for a Dollar Sold For a Dime" featuring vocals by Bernard Fowler, the legendary Ken Boothe,Dabi Toure, Kevin Gibbs, Saz Bell and Valerie Skeete alongside Skip. Alan Glen on harmonica and with Keith Le Blanc (drums) and Doug Wimbish (bass) joining “the boss” Skip Mcdonald who as well as playing guitar, plays some bass, keys, bv’s and adds his divine horn arrangements with The Crispy Horns crew.. Recorded and engineered at the wonderful Real World studio by Marco Miglian.
And the music is not crappy format either. Apple Lossless, 885kbps, 44,100 kHz, 16bit sample size. 27.4MByte for the first track on the record (Take a stroll). 4m19s is the length of the track btw.
