FRA: Same as before, but wire instead of radio?

Many proponents say that FRA now will have the ability to listen to the same information as earlier. That is not true. They will be able to listen to more data than before. This because there is much more data on the Internet than what was communicated before. The gossips in the staircases, the bank transactions when bills are paid, the chat, the email.

Of course FRA have to listen to wires to at least get the data that was earlier on radio, but they still get more data now. So a good legislation should be written to limit the ability to use the data accordingly. Proportionality is important!

Unfortunately many proponents say it is the same data as before, when they instead just should say that listening on wire is necessary for FRA to fulfil their duties. But more about what a good legislation should have looked like.
