Discussions in Stockholm
Was in Stockholm the other day. Back and home the same day. The beginning of a fall that is extremely hectic. The interesting discussion was with an ISP on Applications and Access. Whether one can make money on both or not. My answer is that sure, one can make money on both, but not everyone. Simply because there will be so many more application providers than access providers.
Another finding at the discussion around the meeting (that surprised me) was that there ended up being an agreement that too much of discussions, technical implementations and agreements try to block end users from doing what they want. Instead, more time should be spent on adjusting products and agreements so that they match what people want to do.
Someone that has bought access to a tv channel via broadcast over the Internet of course want to be able to view it regardless of from where the Internet access comes. When being on vacation etc.
